365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...NOW ITS MID JULY!

It is so easy to PRAY for ourselves and our loved ones, perhaps even close friends. But how many of us really PRAY for the world we live in? We should! One of the main reasons I diligently watch the news is so that I can pray when I hear about injured or missing adults and babies. The world may be on a collision course with the end but that does not mean we are not to PRAY for the needs of others and intercede for the lost, the hopeless, and the helpless. When we PRAY we don't need to seek God's hand...we need to seek His face. Sometimes I look around and wonder what is the point of stuff...you sure can't take it with you so why PRAY for material items. I am not saying we should become destitute and live in a shack...just PRAY for and be mindful of others. God wants us to enjoy our life, however along the way...we have a job to do. So when when we PRAY...let us remember to add people we don't know to our prayer list. A great place to start is for the Christians around the world who live in areas where religion is restricted or in hostile areas. I have come to realize through the years that many people have no choice what religion they are...at least on the outside, because their whole country may be expected to be one religion and even then there is conflict. Collecting Facebook friends? PRAY for them...everyone who crosses our path is there for a reason...if only for a season. I PRAY that God will show us those who need our prayers and that we will follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit and PRAY for them. Stay blessed!

IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY NAME WOULD HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND I WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Let Us PRAY!

365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...NOW ITS MID JULY!

Most of my adult life I have been an avid news watcher. When disaster hit anywhere in the world I would be glued to CNN all through the night. However, each year the news reports are getting worse and worse, making it harder and harder to watch. Its not so much the disasters and murders and accidents themselves but the fact that I find myself praying about their SALVATION. Not to pray they will find it...after death...its way too late. The time to think about your SALVATION is now! We do not know the day nor the hour (Matthew 25:13) This refers to the coming of Christ, but we do not know the when or the how of our death and we certainly don't know the why. Throughout the Bible there are scriptures referring to our days being numbered. We can not take chances and think we can accept the Lord Jesus Christ and thus our SALVATION at our own appointed time, after we do this or that which is sinful or just unhealthy behavior. To really live your life...you need to live your life through Christ Jesus! He is our SALVATION, our hope, our joy, our everything. Don't take your life for granted, accept Jesus and your gift of SALVATION before its too late. To those who already have, may the Lord God keep you watch over you and protect you until He returns again. Stay blessed!

365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...NOW ITS MID JULY!

Yesterday was one of my favorite days in a long time. I went to IKEA! Going there is always very special to me. I am always amazed at myself that I don't go to IKEA more often. I usually average 1 time a year if that. I always leave IKEA wanting to live in 425 square feet or less though...smiles. I am always researching tiny houses...wouldn't that be awesome with an IKEA layout? For me...yes it would be. I tend to only hang out in one room at a time anyway and when I am tired of that one...I move to another and another then rotate the sequence again. I had so much fun I almost went to IKEA again today just to bask in the atmosphere. I can say God talked me out of that one and honestly, I am happy He did. I was way too tired. Besides it is not like IKEA is an amusement park that I have multiple day tickets to...or is it? I enjoy it so much more. I think this weekend, because there is a forecast for rain, I will return to IKEA...virtually (online) ahhh the joys of technology...sigh.

365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...WOW ITS JULY!

When people used to accuse me of changing I would always say, " I haven't changed, I am still the same person." Then one day God told me not only have I changed, but its for the better and I needed to stop saying I haven't changed. Now I am proud to say I have changed...I am STRONGER, I am wiser, I am more confident, I have grown so much spiritually, and so much more. I am STRONGER both mentally and physically. I can credit the latter to the World Cup when I made it my goal to up the workout ante...and it worked...I really am STRONGER. Spending more time with God and learning so much through His Word and teachings that I watch and listen too almost automatically made me STRONGER spiritually. I say almost because it does require action on my part as well. Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22 KJV) I am happy that I am changing from Glory to Glory and reaching new levels in Christ. I look forward to December 31 2014. My 365 Word Journey may technically end there, but it will truly be the beginning of a brand new journey. Life always is...smiles.

365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...WOW ITS JULY!

God help me to SOAR! I was reading tonite about how eagles can SOAR and never seemingly get tired, with little or no effort and often without even flapping their wings. God gave them the ability to SOAR but He also has instilled that same ability to SOAR in us when we are born again. Without being reborn it is impossible to SOAR. Which is why some of us fail to ever get off the ground. Others may seemingly take off under their own power and appear to have it all, only to drop back down when that self propulsion fizzles out. When we put our lives and our faith in God's hands, He gives us the power to SOAR. Vocabulary.com/Dictionary has a great definition of what it means to SOAR. It says "To SOAR means more than just to fly; it means to rise swiftly, to feel the wind slipping below you as you ride it higher, higher, higher. Flying is just moving through the air. Soaring though, suggests exhilaration, even joy." I want to SOAR! To rise rapidly and go on and move upward. Who wouldn't want to SOAR with a definition like that? I asked God to give me a word early today since I need to sleep earlier than usual and boy did He give me a topic! Something that I have never thought much about although I do know that Isaiah 40:31 says, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. (NIV) By God's grace I will SOAR and you can too...with God all things are possible!

365 WORDS...ONE WORD AT A TIME...WOW ITS JULY!

Today was the final day of the FIFA WORLD CUP! I could say I am happy that I am not tied to my television anymore but really I will miss it. It was a long month for me considering I only missed two matches before I realized their were two on at the same time on two different channels...sigh. Football will still be being played all over the world but its not the same as the FIFA WORLD CUP. For that, I have to be patient for another 4 years or approximately 1460 days...yes I added them up...smiles. Because of my 365 Word Journey I have decided that rather than sulk...I will use those 1460 days wisely if I am so blessed to be on this earth for all of them. I have set some goals just like I set a goal to complete a number of exercises for each and every match I watched. After all that would have been a whole lot of sitting so I had to justify watching them for all those hours. I boycott cable so Big Ups to Univision and another Spanish channel who broadcast every single match and made it possible for myself and others to watch them all. On the rare occasion that ABC did show the matches, I often forgot to switch it over. Beside who is really more enthusiastically expressive...the Brits and Americans or the Latino/Latinas? Lol. Everyday was like a party on Univision! Now as I move on past the FIFA WORLD CUP and all the excitement and nail biter moments, the jumping, the yelling, and return back to "normal" life, I will look ahead, work on my 4 year goals, and dream of "The Beautiful Game." When those four years pass by, I will be able to look back and say #becausefutbol the incentive God used so that I would focus. With that I say...adios mi amigos y mi amigas! Vaya con dios!
